Hadassah STEM Challenge Finale.

On November 29th 2019, Millennial Hadassah STEM held her 2nd edition of STEM challenge competition tagged “Discover It, Create It” focused on creating an innovative design solution for an everyday problem.
After 10 rigorous weeks of working in an area of interest ranging from Sustainable energy, robotics, climate change, healthcare, 3D printing, Mobile app and web development, they made a presentation of their individual projects having discovered a global problems in one of the areas listed above and providing a practical solution to it. Four STEM professionals were present to judge them after which the three best winners were awarded.
The Prize Winner of the 2019 Hadassah STEM Challenge, Alomasojo Aliyat
received a scholarship award of N500,000 and a Laptop for developing an App that creates awareness on health issues. The first runner up, Okeke Jennifer who built a USB Blender was presented with a Laptop. The second runner up, Alabi Maryam who built a project on the generation of electricity from waste products won a Phone tab. All three winners also received Hadassah STEM branded items.
Going forward, Hadassah STEM will be organizing an annual STEM challenge that invites senior secondary school girls to put their science, technology, engineering and math’s (STEM) skills to test by developing a solution to real-world problems. This also aims at providing a platform for their creative and innovative discovery to compete on global scale.
